Double-Story Crushing SS-series

Pulian's Double Story Crushing SS Series addresses bulky, thick-walled plastic scrap that exceeds what a single-stage granulator can efficiently handle, combining a primary crushing stage and a secondary granulating stage in one machine.

The current model, the SS-380, uses a 5 HP top layer with a 380 × 360 mm inlet running at 15-20 rpm to break down oversized parts, feeding a 20 HP bottom layer — also with a 380 × 360 mm inlet — running at 530/640 rpm for final granulation. Both stages use SKD-11 tool-steel blades, with the top layer configured as a 2-claw rotor with 4 rotary and 2 stationary blades, and the bottom layer as a 3-claw rotor with 6 rotary and 2 stationary blades. The complete machine measures 942 × 1510 × 1885 mm and weighs approximately 1,100 kg.

This two-stage design lets each cutting stage do a different job — the top stage handling large-format material without pre-cutting, and the bottom stage producing consistent, screen-controlled granule sizing — while keeping the machine footprint to a single unit.

The SS-380 suits thick-walled moldings, crates, and similar bulky parts in general thermoplastics, for recycling operations and manufacturers handling larger production scrap.
